Terms and Conditions for Participation in Goolum Goolum’s activities and events.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for and/or participating in any activities ("the activity/event"), you ("the Participant") agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.
2. Eligibility
Participants do not need to meet a minimum age requirement. However, all minors must have consent from a parent or legal guardian to participate and registration needs to be filled out by this consenting guardian.
Goolum Goolum (the organisers) reserves the right to refuse registration and/or participation in any or all activity/event/s on the grounds of and by adhering to Goolum Goolum policies, procedures and standards.
Including but not limited to:
- Childsafe standards
- Zero tolerance towards violence of any kind
- Drug, Alcohol and Smokefree policy
3. Registration
- All participants must complete the official registration process and provide accurate, up-to-date information.
- Entry fees (if applicable) must be paid in full prior to participation.
- Registration is non-transferable and non-exchangeable unless otherwise stated or organised.
4. Health and Safety
- Participants acknowledge that activities can be physically strenuous and certify that they are in good health to participate or need to self-select if choosing not to participate in any activity/event.
- It is the responsibility of each participant to consult a medical professional prior to participation.
- Participants agree to follow all activity/event rules, signage, and instructions from staff and volunteers.
5. Assumption of Risk
By participating, the Participant assumes all risks associated with activities/event, including but not limited to:
- Falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic, and road conditions.
- Illness, injury, or death resulting from participation in the event.
6. Liability Waiver
The Participant hereby waives, releases, and holds harmless the event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and affiliated entities from all liability, claims, or damages arising from or in connection with participation in the Event.
7. Insurance
Participants are responsible for their own health, accident, and travel insurance coverage.
8. Event Changes or Cancellation
The organisers reserve the right to:
- Cancel or postpone any activity/event due to weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Modify the event course or timing without prior notice.
No refunds will be issued in the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond the organizers' control.
9. Code of Conduct
Participants must:
- Show respect to fellow participants, volunteers, and staff.
- Refrain from any behavior that may be unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.
- Not litter and help maintain the cleanliness of activity/event site.
10. Use of Likeness/Photo consent
By participating, you grant the organisers permission to use your name, image, voice, and likeness in any photographs, videos, or media coverage of activities/event for promotional and informational purposes.
If a participant or guardian of participant does not grant this permission for any reason, it is the responsibility of participant and/or guardian to inform activity/event organisers that permission is not given.
11. Personal Belongings
The organisers are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought to the Event.
12. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the activity/event is held.
By participating and/or completing the registration process, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms and Conditions of Goolum Goolum’s activities and event/s.
