Two exciting opportunities exist to become part of a committed Family Services team that supports local Indigenous community to achieve the best possible outcomes for their children and families.
Position overview: Integrated family services aims to promote the safety, stability and development of vulnerable Aboriginal children, young people and their families, and builds capacity and resilience for these children, their families and their communities.
Integrated Family Services-Indigenous provide a comprehensive range of services for vulnerable children (from pre-birth up to the age of 17 years) and their families to promote Aboriginal children’s safety, stability and healthy development. Services focus on diverting families from child protection and providing early intervention to address problems before they escalate.
The successful candidate will:
Case manage and work directly with Indigenous families utilising a variety of interventions and frame works including Best Interest Framework, developmental theory, attachment and trauma theory, solution focused and task centred models, mediation and practical social support.
Be passionate about engaging with the local community to ensure children’s safety and culturally appropriate developments.
Be a dedicated team member of the GGAC Family Services
Network and collaborate with a broad range of child, youth and family services to ensure an integrated service response to children, youth and families in the program
Regular engagement and collaboration with external agencies and promotion of Goolum Goolum services and programs.
